Muesli smash up
I have had a few random requests from you guys… for my Muesli smash up bars! Banging snack to keep you going on the mountain and avoid all the sugar and additives that the pre made ones have so your onto a winner. I have 3 different types that I make up and they are all pretty banging. I am not going to go into proportions I just experimented with that till I found what worked for me. So here goes. Enjoy the baking!
MUESLI SMASH UP (baking time 10-15 minutes) my favorite!
- Oats – old fashioned type
- Grated coconut
- Almond Butter
- Coconut oil
- Dates
- Apricots
- Honey
- Banana
- Cashews – or any other nuts you like….
Get all of these ingredients, smash them up till mushy, make sure the banana and dates have blended together with the oats, stick in a baking tray on some foil and pat down into the tray on foil, spread the oats out till your desired energy bar thickness, bake and then cut.
Orange sticks (baking time – 0 freezer time 1 hour)
- Apricots
- Coconut Oil
- Dried Coconut
- Ginger powder
- Oats
- Cashews
- Honey
Stick all of the ingredients in a blender with melted coconut oil, till forms a goey / dough like texture, lots of Apricots needed for this one as the base, handful of oats, a good few cashews for the nutty texture, and a tea spoon of ginger for a bit of a tang. Pat down with a spoon in a tray stick in the fridge till solid and cut to desired shapes, that’s the fun bit!
Boogie monster (baking time 10-15 minutes)
- Cooked Quinoa
- Powdered Greens
- Dates
- Apricots
- Almond butter
- Dried Coconut
- Nuts, Cashews, Almonds
- Coconut Oil
- Honey
All of the ingredients in a bowl, mix up with the powdered greens and quinoa, stick in a baking tray on foil, pat down till desired thickness, bake and then cut and enjoy. I made these ones, not so sweet but I’ll leave that up to you.
