CYCLING + SLOVAKIA + Indoor Shred.
It's been a busy 10 days, with preparation for Nelsons Tour De Test Valley. After not getting out on the bike much over the summer due to snowboarding in Australia, it was all last minute preparations for the ride. I cycled in the 50 Mile with a great crew. It was an amazing day bringing together the British Snowboard industry to celebrate and remember the loss of Nelson Pratt. The event really is something special, raising a huge amount of Money for the charity C.A.L.M, you can still donate here. I cycled and have donated here to the. Vans UK page :) Although the cycle was tough, the day couldn't have been any better, sunshine, good friends, family and great food, Nelson wouldn't have wanted it any other way. He's a man that I looked up to not only for his snowboarding ability, his passion for fitness, the outdoors, and his ability to cook and consume amazing food!
After Nelsons cycle I had one day to recover before heading out on a mission to check out Line 36, its a reduced risk training environment, with a dry slope take off and an air bag landing. Accompaning me the GB Park and Pipe team BOSS Ms Lesley Mckenna, we also linked up with Basa Stevulova, a great friend of mine, who welcomed us to her home city Bratislava, having never been to Slovakia, not only was it awesome to see her and snowboard with her, it was great to see a new country and capital city!
In other news I linked up with Mango bikes, to film a mini commercial for the new release of the Point R, road range. I had a good mission out in the Surrey Hills. Enjoy the watch. Bring on Winter!
I put the bike straight to the test after the shoot on Nelson's ride. 50 miles is the perfect test run ;)
And below is a teaser of what I got up to at The Snow Centre with Mr Jamie Nicholls :) I can't wait to get out to Austria now, there is fresh snow in the TIROL! So it's all go. Next up for me is TSC with Caxton FX! For the British Schools Ski racing championships! Should be a laugh, plus I am giving a lesson too!
