Ale invite 2nd place.

SWEDEN

I am currently sat on a flight to Korea next to my Red Bull UK team mate Katie Summerhayes. 1.5 hours in, 9 hours and 29 minutes to go haha, it’s a long one! So thought I would write a blog to share with you my experience at Ale. This weekend has been crazy. On Thursday I flew to Sweden, Gothenburg for the Ale Invite. It’s the first big air contest I have competed in. Friday, practice went down, with some initial troubles getting the speed right for the jump we managed to get a few runs in and get the feel for the jump. It was crazy rocking up to the site with next to no snow and a huge kicker. The landing made out of 3 shipping containers stacked high. I have to say it was probably one of the most daunting jumps I have hit initially, the 18 meter gap, the scaffolding, and the quick landing, however it rode really well.

Day 1 - Practice.

The format, 3 Runs, best run counts. On my 2nd run I stomped my back 7 which put me into the 2nd spot in the finals. Enjoy my 2nd place run below!

Little love for the 14000 people in the crowd!

A massive thanks to Kevin and Tor for putting on a fantastic event and inviting the ladies for the first ever World Snowboard Tour Ale invite. The crowd was insane with 14 thousand people, the atmosphere was something else and it really made my Swedish experience hard to beat!

Big ups to the other winners Klaudia Medolva and Anna Gyarmati.

ALSO. Today I announced the winner of the Roxy Snowboard I raffled off for Cancer Research. So massive congrats to the winner picked at Random Amanda Williams. Thanks so much to everyone for entering, amazing amount of entries raising over £1600. Overwhelmed by the support for such a great cause.  Find out more here. https://www.justgiving.com/snowboardcancerresearchcharityraffle
