What happens when the snow melts!!!

Straight off the back of our last on snow camp with the GB Park and Pipe crew in Switzerland, I headed back to the UK to complete my first Tough Mudder obstacle course race with the team of 6 Olympians Jess Varnish, Jade Jones, Ashley Mckenzie, Anthony Fowler and myself… being the Only winter Olympian! HA. All for the exciting new Sky TV Series coming out in July “Mission Mudder”. I have to say, hard it definitely was, but with some serious banter. I completed 2 back to back Tough Mudders with no training time before it! BRUTAL, but a great laugh, and all in aid of my chosen charity Prostate Cancer UK. At times I had my doubts, but all in all, I couldn’t recommend it more to do with a group of mates!

The Tough Mudder Squad. Stay tuned for Mission Mudder dropping in July

Recovery after a long season is essential, the body is used to only one thing! SNOWBOARDING. SO, after an epic season of lots of travel and riding every day I wasn’t on a plane,or running 25 miles worth of Tough Mudders, haha!  I thought it was really key to get some down time as the snow melts, and trade out my winter shred stick for a summer one! However, as it’s summer it means dome shred is ON!

Miss this place already! Amazing views from my room @lapointcamps

I checked in with the crew @lapointcamps, I have to say, talk about a luxury set up, amazing food, an insane crew of fun staff, who all rip to go surfing with.

Cross training in any sport is a great way to keep things fresh,  elements of snowboarding translate across many different sports. It’s all about challenging yourself in different ways that all compliment  not only your body, time on your board, but your mind too. Surfing being one, and my second YOGA!

Love this shot! The claim is real when you ride it right the way to the end! haha.

I have to say I’ve always struggled with Yoga, however recently Iv’e really found it an amazing way to slow down, work on my flexibily and have fun trying all sorts of fun balances.

Working on that headstand poolside w/ the La Point squad.

It was so good to get back in the water, I haven’t really surfed for two years , and I caught some banger waves and made some serious claims!

Now I am back in the UK and ready to meet up with the rest of the GB Park and Pipe Team for Fitness Testing EEEEEEk! haha.
