It’s official I am going to the Olympics! Can’t believe I am writing this, Team GB was announced yesterday.  I am so excited to be one of 6 snowboarders going to the Olympics to represent! It has been an insane journey the past 2 weeks, I am so excited to head to Russia in a week and make the most of this insane opportunity, and what’s even better I am going with one of my best mates Jenny Jones. ONE TEAM, TEAM GB, LET’S DO THIS! Watch out Russia.

World Cup. Top 12!

22 Dec 2013 / 1 Comment / in Competions

Colorado is a wrap! I am currently chilling at Denver airport on Standby trying to hop on that earlier flight to head to my next destination for Christmas! Fingers crossed if not I’ll be sat here for another 8.5 hours haha.

Denver airport.

The last 3 weeks have been crazy, first off with the Red Bull camp in Aspen and then back to back contests with the Dew Tour finals in Breckenrdige and the World Cup at Copper Mountain, it’s been a fun few action packed weeks!

The World Cup went down on Friday, I finished in 11th place in very tricky conditions, it was tough, not going to lie, but I actually had a fun day riding with all the girls in the blizzard! I landed my run, not as clean or as good as I would have liked but to get something onto the feet and get my first of 2 top 12’s needed for the Team GB critera in a stacked field of 54 riders I left with a smile on my face, so my ROAD TO SOCHI as everyone is now calling it, has just begun!

Here is the full results list. http://data.fis-ski.com/pdf/2014/SB/7399/7399RLR0.pdf

Maas into Finals.

Thumbs up to surving the conditions, and my girl Cheryl Maas into Finals!

The girls.

and some more of the gang, not so stoked on the blizzard… haha

On Friday I was in the Evening Standard! Read the full interview here if you missed it on your commute home from London. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/other-sports/i-tend-to-be-quite-gungho-its-often-all-or-nothing–qa-with-british-snowboarder-and-sochi-2014-hopeful-aimee-fuller-9017515.html

sunny slash.

ALSO if you didn’t see it on FACEBOOK, during the week we had a day off from World Cup training, so I went to Breckenridge to get in the Christmas spirit, we sang Jingle Bells all day, and I did backflips all day, I needn’t say anymore I think the video speaks for itself.

HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :)

Red Bull UK camp.

23 Sep 2013 / 0 Comments / in red bull, UK Snowboarding

After a busy few days with the GB team in meetings and with the media. It was operation action with Red Bull UK, we had 3 days crammed with activities to help in our season preparation, we got on the trampoline, gym sessions, snow dome shred and indoor skydiving it went off!

A few flips from the trampoline session, we also had Red Bull UK parkour master Ryan Doyle on site to show us a few new things once air born, awesome to have him along to bring something slightly different to the session!

Aimee boardslide.

We got in the dome for a few hours of power shred, so fun to ride indoors as I don’t get to do that to often living over in Northern Ireland, you can get so many laps in such a small amount of time.

Gym with Faye

In the gym with Faye Downey, Billy Morgan and I getting our butts kicked into shape.

Now I am back home and getting ready for the next trip, the season is approaching fast, I head out to Europe next week, stay tuned in, I will update you next week!

This week I spent 3 days in Manchester with the British team, it was an exciting few days and has really kicked off some excitement in the lead up to Sochi. Here are a few snaps from behind the scenes.
